This Site Comes With Music!

This is an open event, for anyone with Indonesian and Malayan
Studies associations, and we will also be inviting our friends in the AIA,
AIBC, consulate and embassy.

The venue for 15th August will be the Holme and Sutherland Rooms, upstairs in the Holme Building a the University of Sydney. The plan is to have displays of photographs, memorabilia and publications from the Department set up in our venue from 3pm onwards, then the gamelan performing at 5pm while we have a reception, with some short formal speeches, and then open up some opportunities for the sesepuh to talk about each of the major decades.

We will have to charge a modest cover fee of around $20 (payable on the night) for the use of the space etc, but we will be subsidised by the School, Faculty and Alumni Office.

I hope all alumni will sign up to the webpage and rsvp. Don't be dismayed if the sign on processes doesn't happen instantly, we have an approval process because of the ever present problem of spam.

Other 50th Anniversary events during the year have included a Symposium and alumni reception just held in Jakarta, and a Forum at the University of Sydney later in the year
